  9. agreement signed by Nico Mak Computing, Inc., your use of this
  10. software indicates your acceptance of this license agreement and
  11. warranty.

  14. Self-Extractor see the section titled "Evaluation License" below.

  18. Note:  This is a pre-release beta test version of WinZip Self-Extractor.
  19. Files created by this version of WinZip Self-Extractor should be used
  20. for testing purposes and should not be distributed for production use.
  21. The distribution terms for the "release" version are detailed in the
  22. paragraph below:

  24.  Each registered copy of WinZip Self-Extractor may be used at a
  25.  single workstation to create an unlimited number of freely
  26.  distributable royalty-free self-extracting ZIP files, subject
  27.  to the following conditions:

  29.  * A separate registered copy of WinZip Self-Extractor must be
  30.    obtained for each workstation on which WinZip Self-Extractor
  31.    will be used to create self-extracting ZIP files, even if such
  32.    use is only temporary.  This is not a "concurrent use" license.

  34.  * Self-extracting ZIP files created by WinZip Self-Extractor
  35.    contain, among other things, a portion of WinZip Self-
  36.    Extractor, including copyrighted software, proprietary notices,
  37.    and identifying information (the "Extraction Software").  No
  38.    registered user, nor anyone else, may alter or modify the
  39.    Extraction Software.  You cannot give anyone else permission to
  40.    modify the Extraction Software.

  42. All rights not expressly granted in this license agreement are
  43. reserved entirely to Nico Mak Computing, Inc.

  45. Governing Law

  47. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of
  48. Connecticut.

  50. Disclaimer of Warranty

  52. THIS SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING FILES ARE SOLD "AS IS" AND
  53. WITHOUT WARRANTIES AS TO PERFORMANCE OR MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY
  54. OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.  Because of the
  55. various hardware and software environments into which WinZip
  56. Self-Extractor may be put, NO WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A
  57. PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS OFFERED.  Good data processing procedure
  58. dictates that any program be thoroughly tested with non-critical
  59. data before relying on it.  The user must assume the entire risk
  60. of using the program.  ANY LIABILITY OF THE SELLER WILL BE
  61. LIMITED EXCLUSIVELY TO PRODUCT REPLACEMENT OR REFUND OF PURCHASE

  68. This is not free software.  You are hereby licensed to use the
  69. evaluation version of WinZip Self-Extractor for evaluation purposes
  70. without charge for a period of 21 days.  If you use this software
  71. after the 21 day evaluation period a registration fee is required,
  72. as described in the WinZip Self-Extractor order form (order.txt).
  73. Under no circumstances are you licensed to distribute
  74. self-extracting ZIP files created by the evaluation version of
  75. WinZip Self-Extractor.  Unregistered use of WinZip Self-Extractor
  76. after the 21-day evaluation period is in violation of U.S. and
  77. international copyright laws.

  79. Distribution of WinZip Self-Extractor

  81. This version of the WinZip Self-Extractor 2.2 beta is licensed for
  82. download from the WinZip web site only.  You are specifically
  83. prohibited from making this software available for direct download
  84. from other web sites or ftp sites.
